The client needed a design for business cards, but to make them look more professional and to build a more trustworthy appearance, she needed a logo design as well.
The logo had to reflect the disciplines, taught by the teacher and to look friendly enough, having in mind the age of the children, who are taking the lessons.
The client provided a couple of images as a reference to the look and feel she was seeking. After a brief discussion, we’ve agreed to change the course to a more modern and minimalistic look of the sign.
By doing that we would ensure better usability of the logo in a variety of print materials, that could possibly be needed in the future.
To reach the final result, we went through a couple of steps and small changes to the initial idea, so the finished logo could represent as good as possible the teacher's expertise.
As symbols, we decided to include:
- an owl - a symbol of wisdom and knowledge;
- the first two letters from the Cyrillic alphabet as a reference to the Bulgarian language. In addition to that, we made the owl tail shaped like a writing feather tip;
- numbers 1 and 4 as a hint for the ages of grades that are taught (1st to 4th).
